Samsung Invests $2.9 Million at Crypto Wallet Manufacturer Ledger

Telecom giant Samsung has spent 2.6 million euros ($2.9 million) into crypto pocket maker Ledger, the French financial book Capital reports. The investment gives a nearly $290 million valuation, each the accounts to the start-up. The news came soon after CoinDesk Korea noted that Samsung is creating a blockchain platform and native electronic asset of its own. The project, which is being conducted by the South Korean tech giant's blockchain branch, is reportedly based on Ethereum's network along with the consequent cryptocurrency is known as"Samsung Coin." CoinDesk Korea mentioned an anonymous source that said,"We anticipate Samsung Coin to emerge on the marketplace, however, the direction has not yet been determined."
