Venezuela is preparing for a pre-sale of their petro, its oil-backed cryptocurrency that can be utilized to cover federal taxes, fees, and public services. Venezuela recently published the whitepaper for its own oil-backed cryptocurrency. A private pre-sale of the petro is going to be held February 20, followed by an original coin offering (ICO) in March.
